V3 Shortened Steering Arms- Manufacturing Files
Needed to complete the steering geometry of the V3 crossmember Kit.
The arms bolt directly to the stock 510 struts. However the tape angle is designed to match the recommended outer tie rod in the rack and pinion conversion kit.
The total travel of the ford rack and pinion from lock to lock is significantly shorter than the stock steering box travel. This means that a rack and pinion with stock steering arms will have significantly slower steering and less turning radius than stock. To correct this issue these shortened steering arms bolt in place of the stock arms and use stock ball joint/ tie rod.
As well the arms increase the Ackermann in the steering system, move the outer pivot points for decreased bump steer, and allow for more tie-rod articulation than stock.
